【摘要】:Theresultsofthismethodquantifytheimpactattenuationofplayingsurfaceandsystemspecimensunderthespecifictestconditions.Thetestmethodmeasurestheoutcomeofimpactsperformedunderspecificconditions.Itdoesnotquantifytheintrinsicmaterialpropertiesofthetestedspecimens.Testresultsfromdifferentspecimensobtainedunderthesameconditions(thatis,thesamemissilemassandgeometry,dropheight,etc.)maybeusedtocompareimpactattenuationunderthoseconditions.Testresultsobtainedunderdifferentconditionsarenotcomparable.Specificallyobtainedwithdifferentmissilesarenotequivalentandcannotbedirectlycompared.Similarly,testresultsobtainedusingthesamemissile,butusingdifferentdropheights,arenotdirectlycomparable.1.1Thistestmethodmeasurestheimpactattenuationofplayingsurfacesystemsandmaterials,specificallythepeakimpactacceleration(x201C;impactshockx201D;)producedunderprescribedimpactconditions.1.2Thistestmethodisapplicabletonaturalandartificialplayingsurfacesystemsintendedtoprovideimpactattenuation,includingnaturalandartificialturfsportsfieldsandplaygroundsurfaces.1.3Thistestmethodisapplicabletoimpactattenuatingmatsandpaddingusedinsportsfacilities,includingstadiumwallpadding,gymnasticmatsandwrestlingmats.1.4Thistestmethodmaybeusedtomeasuretheimpactattenuationofmaterialsandcomponentsusedasprotectivepaddingontrampolineframes,goalposts,etc.,providedthematerialorcomponentcanbetestedseparatelyfromtheequipmenttowhichitisattached.1.5Withoutmodifications,thistestmethodshallnotbeusedtotestmaterialsandcomponentsthatareattachedtostructuresorequipmentorfinishedproducts,unlesstheimpactattenuationofthewholesystemisofinterest.1.6Whileitiswidelybelievedthatappropriateimpactattenuationcanreducetheriskofimpact-relatedinjuries,therelationshipsbetweentheresultsofthistestmethodandspecificinjuryriskandoutcomeshavenotbeendetermined.1.7ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.8Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
