【摘要】:Asphaltenesarenaturallyoccurringmaterialsincrudepetroleumandpetroleumproductscontainingresidualmaterial.Theasphaltenesareusuallypresentincolloidalsuspensions,buttheymayagglomerateandflocculateifthesuspensionofasphaltenemoleculesisdisturbedthroughexcessstressorincompatibility.Thistestmethodprovidescompatibilityparameters,whichcanbeusedtoassessstabilityreserveandcompatibility.Ablendisconsideredstablewhentheblendx2019;speptizingpowerishigherthantheblendx2019;smaximumflocculationratio;3,4bothofthemcanbecalculatedusingempiricalblendrules.Refineriesandterminalownerscanpreventtheflocculationofasphaltenesduetoincompatibilitybyassessingthecompatibilityoffuelsbeforehand.Note38212;SeeAppendixX1foranexampleofpredictionofcompatibility.1.1Thistestmethodcoversaprocedureforquantifyingthemaximumflocculationratiooftheasphaltenesintheoilandthepeptizingpoweroftheoilmedium,byanautomaticinstrumentusinganopticaldevice.1.2Thistestmethodisapplicabletoatmosphericorvacuumdistillationresidues,thermallycrackedresidue,intermediateandfinishedresidualfueloils,containingatleast1mass%asphaltenes.Thistestmethodhasnotbeendevelopedforasphalts.Note18212;Anopticalprobedetectstheformationofflocculatedasphaltenes.Thestartofflocculationisinterpretedwhenasignificantandsustainedincreaseinrate-of-changeofsignal,asmeasuredbytheopticalprobe,ensuresflocculationisinprogress.Thestartofflocculationcanbedetectedunambiguouslywhenthesamplecontainsatleast1%massasphaltenesasmeasuredbyTestMethodD6560.Note28212;ThistestmethodisapplicabletoproductstypicalofSpecificationD396-Grades5L,5H,and6,andSpecificationD2880-Grades3-GTand4-GT.1.3Thistestmethodwasevaluatedinawithin-laboratorystudyintherangeof16to57forthemaximumflocculationratioandintherangesof27to96forpeptizingpower.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.

【摘要】:Thismethodisfordeterminingdisulfidesulfuringasoline,liquefiedpetroleumgas(LPG),andotherlightpetroleumdistillates.PartAofthemethod,anacidstirringprocedure,isusedforlowmolecularweightdisulfidesusuallyfoundinLPGandfordistillatesthatdonotcontaintertiarydisulfides.Becauseofitsrapidity,theacidstirringprocedureisrecommendedforroutineworkwheretertiarydisulfidesarenotafactor.PartBofthemethod,anacidrefluxprocedure,isreservedforsamplescontainingtertiarydisulfides.Thismethodisapplicabletosamplescontainingadisulfidesulfurconcentrationof10mass-ppmorgreater.
