【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversathermoplasticinsulationwhichconsistssubstantiallyofpolyethylene.1.2Thistypeofinsulationisconsideredsuitableforuseonwireorcablethatwillbeusedforcontinuousoperationatconductortemperaturesupto75x00B0;Cwithamaximumconductorsizeof1000kcmil(507mm2).Themaximumvoltageratingshallnotexceed35000Vforpowerapplicationor9000Vforserieslighting.1.3Inmanyinstancestheinsulationmaterialcannotbetestedunlessithasbeenformedaroundaconductor.Therefore,testsdoneoninsulatedwireorcableinthisspecificationaresolelytodeterminetherelevantpropertyoftheinsulationmaterialandnottotesttheinsulatedconductororcompletedcable.1.4Whenevertwosetsofvaluesarepresented,indifferentunits,thevaluesinthefirstsetarethestandard,whilethoseinparenthesesareforinformationonly.
